Simple. Elegant. Intimate. These are the three words that come into my head while I browse through these images. I imagine a bride that wants to share her wedding day with her very closet and dearest friends and family. She wants to share an intimate meal with those who make her laugh the most as the sun rises high into the sky over the vineyard, with the Italian villa in the background. She wants a table to reflect her own personal style that is elegant yet simple. She dreams to incorporate the wild beauty of the floral and the decor with the rustic beauty of the surrounding vineyard. For her, an elaborate wedding gown is not the right fit. She chooses something that many would consider an everyday gown, but when she adorns it with a floral gown and picks up her wild bouquet, it becomes her perfect wedding gown. She doesn’t feel the need to be surrounded by hundreds on her wedding day. Her day is attended by only the closest. They stand around her and her beloved in the vineyard as they say their vows with smiles on their faces and tears in their eyes. Afterwards, they share a simple southern brunch that they pass around the table of eight like the family that they are. After dinner, she and her beloved pour homemade maple syrup over their buttermilk pancake “cake” that her mother made lovingly that morning in the villa beyond the vineyard. As the morning turns to afternoon, the guests meander through the vineyard plucking grapes from their branches. That night, they will enjoy a lovely vintage from the same vineyard. They will pass stories around a bonfire and laugh. Simple. Elegant. Intimate. A perfect wedding day.

Last year, Brooke, from Foxhall Resort and Spa, asked me out for a styled shoot to showcase their pool venue.  I was so excited to be asked to be a part of such an amazing team of vendors and to be able to produce something that I felt was truly and inspiring for brides everywhere.  As summer approaches, I am thrilled to be able to finally share with wedding styled shoot with all of you.  It is currently featured in Jezebel magazine in a piece called Paradise Found.  Well, I truly think it is paradise, right down to the Badgley Mischka shoes. . .

If you love this venue, be sure to take a peek at a few of our other styled shoots there!  We have the venue open house from November 2015 as well as this classic and emotional styled shoot.
